Nikita Abrosimov was born in 1988 in the Urals. From 2000 to 2007 he studied in Nizhny Novgorod, graduating from music school and from the Balakirev Music College (class of Natalia Fisch). During this period Abrosimov won several international competitions in addition to receiving a grant from the New Names foundation.
From 2008–2011 Nikita Abrosimov studied at Indiana University (USA) under Professor Alexander Toradze. While still a student he appeared at festivals in Lisbon, Basel, Strasbourg, Chicago, Cincinnati and Stanford; he has appeared with the Kostroma Symphony Orchestra, the Symphony Orchestra of the Nizhny Novgorod Philharmonic and the Stanford Symphony Orchestra in addition to performing recitals throughout Russia and the USA.
In 2011 Nikita Abrosimov won the World Piano Competition in Cincinnati (USA). Since 2012 he has been a student at the Royal College of Music in London under Professor Dmitri Alexeev. The same year, he was awarded the Gawon International Music Society Prize in Seoul (South Korea).
Nikita Abrosimov has appeared at the Mariinsky Theatre’s International Piano Festival and the Stars of the White Nights festival, performing with the Mariinsky Orchestra under the baton of Valery Gergiev. He has also appeared at the Teatro alla Scala in Milan and given recitals in New York (Alice Tully Hall) and Seoul (Yongsan Art Hall).
